What does a typical day look like in the Ashleigh Clarke studio?

In short, it’s busy! But it’s also exciting and hugely varied. From liaising with clients, making site visits, managing projects and workflow, dealing with the planning process and working on designs it’s easy to see why the studio is a hive of activity.

We start work with a generally much-needed cup of tea/coffee and a quick team debrief so that we are all on the same page – communication is key, especially in a small but busy architectural studio!

Ashleigh tends to focus on design work as much as possible in the mornings, with calls and client visits scheduled in the afternoon. However, designing can be a long process and takes a high level of focus which often means long working hours and this requires constant management.

Taking on new projects is a really exciting part of studio life, especially when clients are open-minded with ideas. It allows for more creative freedom in the design process and can lead to some truly beautiful results which have a stunning visual impact but also provide bespoke, luxury living for our clients.

Architecture really is a multi-faceted role and we love that no two days in the studio are ever the same!
