As architects, we are comfortable working in a diverse range of sectors from residential to educational. The work that we take on as a practice spans from environmental retrofits of existing buildings to the complete planning and design of new neighbourhoods and public spaces. While our work is aesthetically diverse, our projects are linked by a focus on enhancing human relationships through architecture.
Our work primarily focuses on residential architecture and we work with a wide range of small to large residential new builds and refurbishments, from providing bespoke designs to sympathetic and sustainable barn conversions in the beautiful Cotswold countryside.
We primarily help our clients with the planning, design and construction stages of buildings, extensions and conversions. We have an established network of experts and collaborate with other professionals such as construction companies, quantity surveyors, structural engineers, planning consultants, interior designers and landscape designers, and we have a thorough understanding of UK building regulations.
Obtaining the correct planning permissions and other permissions that may be needed if a building is Listed or in a conservation area or the AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), is a key stage in the process. We are experts in this field, especially with regard to heritage properties and we work in partnership with The Heritage Advisory. We supply full architectural drawings and in some instances, visual renders along with Design, Access and Heritage Statements where applicable to ensure the best possible outcome in the process, although we can never guarantee that planning permission will be granted.
The client drives the process at all times. We are sometimes engaged up to the Planning or Building Regulations stage and at other times we provide the concept, design and oversee the construction stages of the entire project. Involving an architect opens up the opportunity to create a design which is unique, beautiful and functional.
