We designed this stunning Cotswold stone single-storey rear extension with a glass link which gives a contemporary twist to the more traditional features of the original Grade II Listed building. The oak framework, aluminium frame sliding doors and glazed panels introduce a high-quality addition and flood the interior spaces with natural light whilst affording stunning views of the surrounding gardens. The soft tonal qualities of the materials help the design to integrate into its surroundings and the glazing on the replacement single-storey rear extension exposes more of the original brickwork of this historical building.
Our proposed designs also include the addition of two new dormers and a conservation roof light to the rear of the property, providing consistency of appearance with neighbouring properties and the front elevation of the house whilst also reflecting its original appearance historically. Additionally, we replaced an existing timber-clad carport with a new oak-frame carport to provide consistency of style with the extensions.
